ARABELLA BABB MANSFIELD AWARD - In May of each year, the Toledo Women’s Bar Association (TWBA) bestows an award upon an individual lawyer who has made a significant contribution to the legal profession, assisted women lawyers in achieving success, or improved the status of women through hard work, devotion, and example. The award is named for Arabella (Belle) Babb Mansfield who passed the Iowa bar exam in 1869 and went on to become the first woman licensed to practice law in the United States.

Nominations should include: (1) your name and contact information; (2) the nominee’s name, contact information, and present position; (3) a brief statement detailing why you think the nominee should receive this award; and (4) a summary of the nominee’s professional and/or civic activities and accomplishments.
